I've been set free, and have been having enormous fun playing my patches, combining with sends, adding effects, etc.Р”Р‡or me, I don't care about macros right now anymore - I've realized it's more important to set the patch up to be played expressively with both hands on the 64 pads, rather than fruitlessly tweaking at the cut-off, or screwing with ADSR etc but not really PLAYING. Having racks with no macros assigned (but also no patch-destroying errors) loading from Push has freed me from endlessly tweaking sounds to going back to playing the instrument again. Kinda like learning a guitar lick/riff of sorts.Р”Р„NYWAY, I'm very pleased at this moment. Haha, it sounds ludicrous, but it's fast once you've practiced it. I've now practiced the Push selection buttons to browse back to my ZebraUser folder in an instant if this happens:

Occasionally this does not happen and it's back at the top of the browser menu. I'm still using racks so I can see where and what I'm browsing, and once you're into places- user- presets - instrument racks - ZebraUser, it switches to where I last was even if creating a new empty midi track to load another instance of Zebra. Yet nobody else seems to have this problem? Or no one works with VSTs this way? On Push this is crap, as when you press Browse again, you'd wound up having to start from the top of the bloody Browsing menu - Live's default stuff, and have to go all the way down back to places etc. IF you delete the rack first, and then load the new rack, you would also have no problems.

This makes me rather sad, as its a joy to load custom racks and tweak away at carefully chosen sculpting/performing/automation parameters. If I don't map any macros, all racks load perfectly fine always. It's a case of loading a totally new rack which just happens to have the same VST in it. It is NOT a case of changing presets inside the VST's interface itself and expecting the macros to update, I know this does not work.

Many would not update though, totally screwing up the patch. If I browse and load (from Push or Live interface, doesnt matter) the first rack, it loads fine, all is great. I've been racking up all my own Zebra patches, and assigning unique macros to each, depending on the patch. I've mentioned this before, but the Search function yields too many results, and I think I fresh post is necessary.
